New Problem!!!

I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME WITH IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. I DOWNLOADED A SONG AGAIN, AND TO MY SURPRISE, WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER LAUNCHED IT AND IT SAID IT WAS PLAYING. BUT I HEAR NOTHING. I HAVE TURNED MY VOLUME UP TIME AFTER TIME BUT I STILL DO NOT HEAR THE SONG. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT COULD BE WRONG???

Sounds like time to go to a hearing specialist! Else turn your volume up. lol :

See Downld/Upld Problems Sticky re: mp3 file size v's bit-rate.

And for one last time please post in the appropriate section. The LW forum sections are HERE: Limewire Forum sections If you continue to post in the incorrect sections such as General Gnutella / Gnutella Network Discussion then your post will simply be deleted in future. You have been warned. this thread will now be moved.

BTW these forums cater for many gnutella programs & LW is simply one. Each has its own section of sub-sections.

Well excuse me

Well for your information, I'm new, as I've said every time I've posted, and you could have responded in a more polite manner. I don't need your orders. Thanks anyway.

Ebeth08 Some music files are totally empty, damaged or otherwise corrupt Some are protected and will not play and should not have been uploaded. If you have a problem with one file check for a different source for that file. The majority of music files are mp3 and most are OK. Less wma files are good in my experience. You do not say what type of file this was. If you have problems with a file. Try playing it with every player you have. If none works, scrap it.

Please do not use capital letters, this is not regarded a polite in newsgroups and forums, and indicates that you are shouting.

Above this post is written "Limewire(cross platform) If you go to that if you want to post a new topic and chose which forum to post in that will help, and do not use the Beta programme forum which is at the top of the list which many people do, not knowing what beta means. I do wish the Beta forum was listed at the bottom of the list and less people would use it erroneously. Ebeth This last point was not aimed at you. Many people post in the wrong forums and I think an easier way for newbies to navigate through them would help.

Did you not post this question a few minutes earlier. I was a little surprised by LOTRs tone but I can see the reason for his lack of his usual restraint now. Please read the forum rules about double posting, and lots other very useful stuff. These are at the head of the forum pages and are designed to help all forum users Please please follow a few simple guide lines. I'm tired I'm going to bed..............
