Downloading at 1kb/s

hi i've read most of the stickies but i just cant boost my speed. I'm running on Singnet 3500, meaning my supposed speed is at 3500 but for some unknown reasons, im downloading files at 1kb/sec. I have a laptop at home and when i connect it to my neighbour's internet (different isp) and download the same file, i get up to 30kb/secs while mine remains at 1kb/sec. help please?

If it's not due to your isp filtering your speeds then it's probably due to your sources. It might also be some other things.

See the following link & follow “ALL” the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve your problem: To continue files downlding (click on link)

Try downlding a magnet link from here: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml & then see
Stief’s example: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...692#post138692 to see what speeds you can potentially get. Oh that image might not show properly sorry.
If you get slow speeds for the magnet link then it looks more likely to be your isp that is responsible.

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)
