Slow computer

When I activated limewire my computer slows and in the dowload window it shows my downloads as complete. The complete files are only partial and there is a disk problem notice in the line of the download discription. Any ideas.

Among other things you could have run out of disc space ????

Use disk defragmenter to get your HDD back into shape. And keep at least 20% free. If your HDD is fuller than that then a slow down in performance is not unexpected.

I have 189 GB of hard disk space free. Once I run the limewire program the computer runs slow until I turn it off and back on.

Is this after many hours of heavy use ( continual uploads and downloads) or just an hour or two?

A occasional re-boot seems to avoid this, but it seems to be a common view that 4.9.30 in particular is overthirsty on the computers resources although you have not said which version you are using. Are you a long time Limewire user or just started? I need sleep so my next contribution will be later and refreshed!

I have 4.9.30

You are not alone in complaining about this and I know of people who have reverted to using 4.9.28 and found an improvement. But bear in mind that the occasional re-boot may be all that is required. Also did you defragment? You may have an installer on your computer or perhaps you are a new user..... and you could probably find a copy on Limewire but BEWARE OF VIRUSES

Slow Computer

I have tried rebooting and the minute I re-open Limewire the computer slows and stays that way even if I close limewire. What is funny it that it just started doing this the other day. I have used the current verison for about a month now with no problem except I got a large (2000+) cache of viruse last week and had to wipe my computer and reload every thing. I think it was limewire because I had the file called Complete with movies and music in it that the viruses was in. Anyway how can I get an earlier verison of limewire?
