What does AWAITING SOURCES mean?

I've been trying to download somethings for 2 days now but all it says is "Awaiting Sources" but I'm not sure what that means. I've tried canceling them and re-downloading as well as shutting Limewire down and restarting it. It's only actually downloading 1 other thing at most so I know that it's not too busy. Please help me!

Need More Sources: LimeWire attempted to make a connection, but failed to find sources for the file. It is unlikely that further attempts to download from this source will be successful. (TIP: Initiate a new search for the file. Any new sources found will automatically be added to the list of sources for that file.)

Here's a link to another thread about the subject: awaiting sources

If you have the message "Awaiting Sources" It generally means just that. There are no sourses for that file on the network. The source you were downloading from has gone offline and he may not be back on for several weeks, if ever. Also no one else has the same EXACT file. HOWEVER if you re-search for the file you may find the same file, but with a slightly different label, or something like that, and you might be better off to download that as a fresh download.

In theory, if a new sourse for that file comes on line it will continue downloading. This often fails to happen in practice.

You said :"Thanks...but my problem is it says "Awaiting Sources", not "Sources not found"

The two remarks mean the same but I'm not sure where you got the second one from.

BTW The other message you will get is "Need More Sources" This message requires you to click "find More Sources" or make a new search.

Let me know if this is still not clear:)

I actually meant "Need More Sources" instead of "Sources Not Found"! Sorry about that. Thanks so much, I finally understand it! :)
