why are some files red in the incomplete file folder?

It means some files have lost their relationship with the file that's downlding. Sometimes this can happen if it found a new source. Why this happens ??? For a LW programmer's response, see Library items in Red? (click on link)

In addition, if you have previewed an incomplete file it will apear as a new incomplete file in red ... often with the Letter T followed by some numbers as a prefix. These should be deleted in due course. A lot of them end up being shared.
