Why can't LW download my incomplete files to my download window. I have to do it manually and all files start out frest no matter how much I have downloaded.

Well something doesn't sound right! Your downld preferences will become corrupt if you don't close LW down properly before shutting down your computer .. yes it can take over a minute to fully close sometimes. Else if your computer crashed. Or if you used an earlier version of LW after using a later version.

Only the odd incomplete might not load into the downld window normally. Sometimes a 2nd incomplete is created after LW finds another source to downld from with slightly different hash info. This has always been the case. You have probably already downlded that file.

If you resume files from the incomplete folder then yes, they will most likely start from 0%. So avoid doing that unless absolutely necessary such as if anything like above happened.

I always reboot my computer before I start LW and every time I Do start LW it says it cannot load my download files.

Before you reboot your computer, open up Task Manager & make sure Limewire is not listed. If it is, then there's an issue with it closing down properly. The answer I'm not sure of. Possibly changing your Java versions. eg: if you have Java 1.4.2 then update to 1.5 Else if you have 1.5 then use the add/remove control panel & remove it before installing 1.4.2 Links for Java from point #1 here: Fixes for Limewire

It might also be worth deleting your LW preferences whilst LW is closed.
