help on HDD over-run
 

when I use limewire and connect, and start downloading my hard disk (HDD) work a lot, and stop for a while, and start again for about 1-2 minutes, and continue like this even for whole day.
anybody can help please.

The first thing I could think of you having this problems deals with your internet connection do you have dial-up because when I use to have dial-up my computer would do the same when I downloaded things it takes forever and cuts in and out because it's buffering.

If you have dial-up you should really get cable its really nice, you be suprised how much more you'll use your computer. I just got it a few months ago so I know what it feels like to still have dial-up.

thank you for the replay, I am using ADSL with 1 MBit speed, connected through router called VIA Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter, this was an advice feom the help lin of my ISP company as i had problem using direct USB cable.
