 wont covnvert.. can anyone help.. i have downloaded an avi file but windows says 1 or more codecs is missing.. but when i try to convert this file to disk it freezes my computer, do u think this file is harmful?even though limewire verified the file content?? its nanny mcphee Ws english scotto.. any one else having same problems?   |

| Sounds like the wrong codec. By converting what do you mean? What are you converting for? If you just want to view the video, then get VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) which has in-built codecs. If you want to know which codec to install for the particular file, get GSpot. Links for GSpot & codecs are in the Sticky at the top of this section called 'Major topics for downld/upld problems'.
