Downloading prob Hello i have a linksys router with a dsl connection of 1024kb per sec......Well the main prob is my downloades usually go slow and they vary between 1~10 kb with 10 hosts! well now Its getting worse, cause now when iam downloadin they are waiting for sources and stay like that or sometimes stick for connecting.....WTH do i ha ve a firewall or somethin i swear i dunno plz can someone helpme? |
Well, unless your isp provider is filtering your speeds (yes some do for those that use p2p programs), then it seems more like a source issue. Linksys has UPnP which allows LW to communicate directly with it to open a port so shouldn't be an issue there. Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) You could try changing your LW port. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change the listening port to something else. Try 80, 1111, 3500, 4008, 1203, 10000, 15189, 20282, 22817, 443, 34599, 40475. But you may need to relaunch LW after making the change. Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?
