Always "Waiting on Busy Hosts"!

Yes, this is the same post that I had before. I post it because the problem still occurs, even after I upgraded my Limewire to the latest version. It's really starting to bother me. I do have a router, but I cannot rember now if I downloaded successfully when I just got my router or not. I have noticed something new, however. When my downloads start at a fast speed and slowly decline permanently to zero, it now says "waiting for busy hosts."

Now, I find this hard to believe mainly because this happens with absolutely EVERY song that I attempt to download. Any help that someone could offer or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

In the past I have had problems with the UPnP feature in LimeWire the cure to it is to reset your router. The way I did it was to unplug my computer from the router then disconnect the power from the router wait for 30sec or so then plug it back in then depress the reset button for 15sec. I have a Linksys router and these are the steps to reset it. You can look up your router on the net to find the steps to reset it.

You may want to portforward you router I do not have as much problems when running in portforward mode. The link below will take you to a site for portforwarding.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I have already port-forwarded my router. I myself have an SMC router, and like I said before, I'm not sure if the downloads still worked when I didn't have the router, but I will try plugging the modem directly into the wall.

:( I have tried everything from registry clean, removing limewire and reinstalling it, firewall configuration.......what else is there? Since I downloaded limewire 4.9.37 downloads of video files (mpg, mov, avi) downloads stop and will not continue. I get need source, waiting for busy, various errors. I have a 1.5 KB DSL connection and downloads of music are super fast, downloads of videos are 1 to 2 kb's at best. Searches yield far less results than with the previous version of limewire and most results are MOV, or ASX results. Downloading either of these results in porn spam, and not a titled video, also possible viruses.
Whatever has happened to Limewire I sure hope the fix comes soon. I have considered downloading an older version of Limewire, however have not been successful in finding one. My firewall is disconnected so it cannot be blocking Limewire. My ISP has never blocked it before but since I updated to 4.9.37 it just does not work as it did before......very disappointed.

My problem actually started when I had version 4.8 of Limewire, so I tried upgrading it, which didn't seem to help issues at all. My situation seems to be the same as yours then, because I have cable internet which allows the downloads to start at reasonably good speeds up to 45kbps, but regardless of how high the number is, it eventually always results at the dreaded "0."

Just curious how many files do you have DL at a time how many files are searching for sources while you are downloading have you done the .Limewire folder fix.

I do everything very slow and simple. I only download one file at a time, but before when it actually was working I usually had 2 or 3 going at once. Now, however, one won't even work.
