Movies not being correct movies

Hi guys..

I am majorly pissed with LimeWire, and I think I am going to stop using it all together, especially if nobody answers this email! I can't email support, so I am posting them.

Every film I download either is:

a) not the film the title says
b) is a completely blank screen (recently with FlightPlan)
or c)PORNO!

Now I never had this problem before, but now it is with every movie. I don't think I've downloaded one movie that was the correct movie in the title.

I would appreciate the answer. If LimeWire can't do anything about it I am going to a different downloader thingy!

I dont think this is Limewires problem

its the problem of the a**holes that are mis-naming their files something else (which LW has no control over)

and believe me... it ****** me off to no end that they do it....

the best thing to do is preview a file early on in the downlad

great idea!

I haven't had this problem with other software (when I used it, but I've been using Limewire for a few years now)...

Are they having this problem to?

STOP IT A$$****S! NOT NICE! (that wasn't to you, but the a-holes in general :) )

1. Movie download issues

2. Learn to use bitzi to see if there's any user feedback for the particular video file; How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ...

3. Yep previewing also does the trick. But be aware that everytime you preview a file, it leave a copy of the file called PREVIEW - (filename).(vid extension) in your incomplete folder. So after downlding the file, arrange the incomplete folder by name or date & delete the preview files.
Personally I just drag & drop the video from the incomplete folder onto one of my video players/double-click it. I use VLC for most previewing since it handles incomplete files very well.

thank you for the feedback

I wasnt aware of Bitzi and will try that

I do not use the LW player to preview - I use either Quicktime or VLC to preview also

I just started using Limewire and I am amazed at the problems I am having finding movies that actually match the title. Like somone else on here, I've downloaded 4 movies and they are all wrong. Might be technology but more likely it's the people sharing the movies.

I've used other P2p sites and have not encountered this problem.

I think this is a big enough issue that there should be a sticky right on the forum front page to request that everyone NOT to share their files if the title naming is not correct.

Meanwhile, I'm moving on to another site.........

You don't like gnutella fine. Move on!!! That's fine rick_dallas if you don't like gnutella then fine po! We'll remain a family of non-backkickers unlike those who don't give a damn about the network except their own petty irrelevances. Keep to Dallas, it's where you belong. I guess it depends where your priorities are. Your's are obviously I, me & myself & cover me in mirrors.

I haven't decided if you don't understand English or you do, but just are an idiot!

Do you not think that people sharing files should label them correctly?

Do you consider not labelling something correctly petty?

What kind of drugs are you on?

You can bet that when I share with other people, anything they get from me will be what they are expecting to get.

Why is that a difficult concept for you?

Guess cause it makes too much sense........

Other sites I've used don't have this problem but based on your response, you're probably one of the idiots who don't see anything wrong with doing this.

I agree with Rick. I've never had this issue before and now it is huge. You can tell us to move on, but that isn't very professional and eventually everyone will move.

Also, I paid for LimeWirePro a few years ago.... I would NOT pay for it now... I think it is to their benifit to know.
