Corrupted Files and slow finishes

I noticed very recently that I have been unable to successfully complete 98% of my downloads as they end with "Limewire has detected this file is corrupted. Do you want to download it anyways?".

Any file I download will find multiple hosts and download untill it is 98% completed. Then suddenly it find only one host to download from and after a minute or two it informs me the file is corrupted.

I have read that the T3 hosts are often throwing junk out to discourage piracy. I have tried modem hosts with no success. I have tried a variety of obscure files that I would not think would be targets for ANTI-PIRACY bots with the same results.

At work I am on a dedicated T1 through Eschelon Telecom. We have a SonicWall Pro-2040 firewall. I have tried NATing a static IP to my workstation and opening the ports for LimeWire. I have tried connecting the workstation directly to the DMZ. I have gone to the router and hooked directly up to it and done a reset on the WAN side. No success. I have had long talks and done T1 tests with Escehelon Telecom engineers. The tests are fine and they assure me they are not interefering with any P2P software transfers.

I have tried this at home using a COMCAST cable modem with the same issues. I have tried this on XP and 2000 on different systems. I am using Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_05-b05) on all of them.

I have comletely uninstalled LimeWire and resinstalled. I have even uninstalled and gone back several versions hoping and older version of LimeWire would be successful. I also tried using the LimeWire clone FrostWire with even worse results (should be called FrostBite or FrostedFlake).

I have swept my machines for viruses using Symantec antivirus Corporate Edition 10.0. I have swept for my machines with the latest versions of Ad-Aware and Spy Sweeper.

I have camped on the firewall and watched the LimeWire port for dropped packets, collisions and other things that would cause this. I have seen some timeouts and added a rule telling the firewall to ignore those timeouts. No luck.

I have talked to many others who are having this exact problem.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Does anyone know where the authors of the program can be reached or if they have an email address? I tried filling out a support form describing this. Evidently it scanned the body of my message found the words "Corrupted file" and gave me a schpeel about how it wasn't limewires fault. Have a nice day. :\

I payed for LimeWirePro edition hoping to fix this. No luck. I'm considering asking Chase Manhattan Bank to dispute the charge on my behalf.

Any thoughts?
