why do people change the name of films you download
 

i downloaded what i thought was the lion witch and the wardrobe and when i started watching it it was a porn film i find this really disgusting as i have children and if they had played the film it would have been very disterbing for them i have got the hosts ip number and think the person resonsable should not be able to share their files :mad: :mad:

hi thanx for your reply i suppose theres nothin we can do about this problem at the mo it just makes u mad when people do this and abuse the rules i mean you could put anything on so people dont really know what your downloading :( :(

I did the same when I first started, now I dont DL any movie unless its been rated with bitzi.......;)

thanks for your repile i did check size and it looked to me that it was the right movie but still seemed like the real film i tryed to browes host but could not oh well not to worry ill just hve to check films first :)

That's a good idea .. [it's also a good idea to report such traps & scams to Bitzi- see the sticky topic here somewhere ...]

You can always just wait til a meg or 3 have downloaded and 'Preview' the file ... - you can obviously tell pretty fast whether it has got the correct title ... And it sure beats DL'ing 700MB before finding out.

I'd also recommend you watch out for Win Media WMV files that may have 'DRM' - there are many dangers there (I posted a 'warning' at http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=27031 which explains it all - but, at a *minimum* you can get a file you *can't* use, no matter what !)

hi thanks for repilyin i bin lucky i ve not dl any more movies like that lately just the odd film thats got a wrong title ie harry potter wen it was how high n the frightners it just bugs me coz of time to download :rolleyes:

Just remember. When you use a P2P program, you are connecting into someone's computer. There are people (trash) out there with nothing better to do, and they are publishing virii and garbage files. Just block them. Soon, they will not be able to dl nothing so they will get the message.

hi vadar i;ve tyed chatting to people but dont get a repily or they ask u the hell is that an then go off line and being a new user im not sure how to block them i asked someone if they had the full r&b yearbook album they said ye then went off so i dont bother now got 2 go now hope u had a gud xmas n have a great new year.:) :)
