why can't i save the files all of a sudden

why can't i save the files all of a sudden

I've been downloading holiday music all evening and until about 9pm the files were happily landing in my iTunes library and I was able to move them into a playlist
since 10pm (i paused while watching Veronica Mars

) they only land in the temporary "limewire drive" and i cannot save them no matter what method i choose
what's up with that???????
