setting slide meters on limewire

I am new to p2p and have been reading on how to max downloading and up loading on limewire. I can't seem to figure out where I should set my slide metres .I did a speed test and the results are download-3046 kbps and upload is 418.4kbps. I am running windows xp and I am on a cable connection.
Any help would be greatly appeciated.

8kb/s(kilobits) = 1KB/s(kilobytes)

So your d/l speed 3046kb/s = 380KB/s

And upload speed 418kb/s = 52KB/s

So I would leave the download slider maxed at 100%

I would back off the upload slider a little to save some bandwidth for doing other things.

Have you read through this thread? A few things to consider while configuring Limewire for optimal performance...
