lime wire avi movie files - why cant i play them
 

I have downloaded various movies in avi file format but cannot plat them or burn them to dvd but my windows media file is supposed to be able to plat avi files. what the F\\k is going on ,any suggestions greatly appreciated

DVD players cant play avi files they can play WMV, MPG and MP4 i think which kinda sucks Windowsmedia should play avi files it does with me maybe u have a lower version of windows media im using windowsmedia 10 down load it from www.microsoft.com

CODECs is what you need if you insist on using WMP. Check out the Sticky thread at the top of this section called 'MAJOR TOPICS for Upload/Download HELP' & you'll find a link to a post about where to get codecs. For playback I usually recommend VLC as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable.
