Unhappy HELP!! I'm gonna throw my IPOD out the window.

Alright. So I got an Ipod. I have Itunes on my PC. I downloaded LimeWire. I searched for some tunes that I wanted. I downloaded them in LimeWire. I went back to ITunes. They're in there. I can play them in my ITunes, but when I update my Ipod - they don't go to the Ipod... it just keeps whirring and whirring like it's trying to do something, but nothing happens. I downloaded like 6 songs out of Limewire... one acutally shows up on my Ipod, but when I try to listen to it... nothing - and it seems to be freezing my Ipod up. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS. Please help. I'm sure I just didn't do soommmeething right. All I wanna do is listen to good music, is that a crime???

Have you got other tunes on the ipod? Which model is it? Have you formatted it for Windows if you are using windows?... not sure if you need to do this as I'm a mac user.

Have a good read of the thead first as you may have missed something

yeah. i have other songs on my ipod - just stuff that i uploaded from my CD collection. i have the 20GB ipod. im really thinking that i got some kind of virus or something from one of the songs that i got from limewire. i bought some songs from itunes and they worked ok on my ipod - so i know that that is working alright. its strange.... i could listen to the song that i uploaded from limewire on my itunes, but then when i went to update my ipod... it went crazy - whirring and whirring... and then nothing. strange. any thoughts????
