Download problem with a particular song

Anyone knows what is the problem when trying to download a particular song which appears hundreds of time after the search is done and I can never download it. It always goes back to need more sources. I've been trying one particular song for months and it's still won't download. I don't know if I can name the song it's "You made me love you" by Rod Stewart.

Thanks

Sophie

Hi sophie44,
If a song is appearing hundreds of times but you can't download, I'd stay away from it. I did a search for the song you're looking for: None had a bitrate showing, some titles were all in capitals L_I_K_E T_H_I_S (very fishy), all but one were T3 (search, top right between faq & home, for T3 to find out more).
So many files now contain spam, worms, virus etc...it's worth making sure that you have a file where bitrate and size match, connection looks good and description of the file looks normal.

Good luck!

Thank you very much Birdy. That's exactly what I see when I try to download this song. I don't know much about bitrate and such and I will follow your advice and be careful.

Do you know why a particular song would appear that way. I even tried to buy that song but I can't find it anywhere.

Sophie44,
Bitrate just refers to how much a song has been compressed. The more it's compressed, the lower the bitrate and the lower the quality. eg a 5 minute song with a bitrate of 192 might be 4500 KB. The same song with a bitrate of 128 might be 3300KB (128 is roughly CD quality).
Why the network has so many of these fakes around?? In some cases - just to sabotage P2P, in other cases - to spread spam or worse.
All I can suggest is to keep on searching & don't forget that heaps of hosts are in different time zones, so try serching at different times of the day. You'll probably find that you get different results depending on when you search.
You could also try searching for the album, rather than song or artist...sometimes this works.
Good luck!
:D

Thank you again for this new information on the bitrate thing. I'll try what you suggest for the rest.

Have a good day
