Using p2p, you are very much controlled by the speed of the other host. I have a fairly slow DSL connection and it is unusual to have any one upload off me an much over 10KB/s and personally my downloads from a single sourse do not go much over this either most of the time. This on occasion will go up to about 30KB/s , but I expect to see variations although some hosts seem to maintain a steady speed much better. It is possible that some hosts over stretch them selves a bit and allow too many uploads which will slow all of them down. The fact that you are capable of 140KB/s suggests you have a pretty fast connection, and probably faster than most of those you download off, although I have seen many on the forums talk about much higher speeds, I do not see much evidence of them from my point of view.

Notice I have altered these speeds to read KB/s (Kilobytes)
Your connection speed wil be measures in kb/s (kilobits) and as 8kb make 1 KB you would seem to have a connection speed of about 140x8= 1120 kb/s

Would that be about right.?

I hope this helps.
