A few simple questions: Did you adjust the rest of your Limewire settings? Have you checked your firewall settings? are other users able to upload from you? what OS are you using?

and, what do you mean by nothing happens? your downloads/uploads go into your limewire shared folder.

K, lets see if Im understanding you correctly: The audio icon is for the searchbox. Its really not supposed to do anything when you click on it except help you search for music files. If you click on a category from the searchbox, it will lightup yellow I think and then you can type in what you desire and the results will show on the right of the searchbox. if you want audio, you will get M3 & music results, video you click on video, programs, you click on programs to download apps, etc.

The left side is only for searches, the right side will show you the results.

ok so i did the clear all thing after they download and once again. nothing happens. is there another version of limewire thats free that is less complicated>?lol. my friends is soo easy and shes had if forever. all u do is go to search and then it give u options on it then u double click it and it downloads and goes staight to the library then double click the song in the library and u can listen to it. and at the bottom of mine where it has the green arrows that show how many downloads it says 0 :(
