Downloading issues Hey everyone I'm new here, so g'day to all. I'm having problems downloading from LW. I have had it for about three weeks and now i can search and get results but when i double click or click on dowload nothing happens. I have configured my firewall so it isnt that issue. can anyone help? |
It sounds like the "License Warning". In limewire go to Tools>Options>Searching>Basic> then tick the "Show License Warning" box, then click apply. The next time you go to download something the "License Warning" box should pop-up. tick "Always use this Answer" then click "yes". You should be able to start downloading:). For more info. and a picture click on the link: license problem |
dillemma continues THanks for replying. I did what you said. The licence box was already ticked and when i clicked on apply nothing would happen. Still cant download. All mu musioc is now in i tunes do you think i should delete LW from my comp and re download? |
i have the same problem |
If your getting search results then you have to be connected to the network. It still sounds like the License thing. You could try it this way, in LW go to Tools>Options>View>Popups>Tick the box that says "Revert to Defaults" then click apply then ok. Then search for something, right click on the file, click "Download" and A "Message" box should popup tick "Always use this Answer" then click yes. If that doesn't work post back and we'll try to dig a little deeper:). |
omg. thank you soo much. it works beatifully now. thanks. yay |
Problems as well... I too am having problems downloading, I have great connection but it says it is firewalled and I tried to go through my Windows XP network firewalls and added the LimeWire port, but it still is not working. I do have wireless, so is it potentially an issue with that? My roomie's computer has the router. We have Netgear. I have Windows XP and LimeWire 4.9.37. I've tried going through all of my network connections and adding the port, which it seems to do successfuly, though, whenever I go back to check it, it has changed the IP address you are supposed to enter (127.0.0.1) |
