VLC media player

Can anyone help? I have just installed VLC media player as I was having trouble opening files that I had downloaded. How do you open up this media player in conjunction with the file you have downloaded?

Go to your shared file outside of limewire i.e docs/setts
click on the movie file
go to file (top left)
open with and choose VLC
;)
