PRO vs. Basic
 

Does having limewire PRO make a big difference when downloading? Is it a dramatic difference compared to BASIC?

from my experience,pro SEEMS faster(might the ''pro'' be a plecebo/sugar pill,perhaps).i figure with most things you cant touch/feel,you just may have to assume its doing what its supposed to.then again,a comp tech might have a more conclusive answer.this is just mho.

Here is my experience.

I had the basic version and enjoyed it. I was able to download @ great speeds and search results were nice. No issues.

I upgraded to Pro and found several issues:

I could find more results however, 80% of the results ended with "waiting on busy hosts" or "waiting in line". Those that did start to download did so at slower speeds and also almost 90% of the few downloads I was able to get going ended with corrupt files.

I had been trying for days to DL a certain file. With Pro, I never could get it to download. When I went back to basic, it downloaded on the very first attempt.

The freaking music industry is flooding the "market" with corrupt files and Pro seems to pick these up easier than basic.
