Blank Files and D/L Probs
 

I recently d/led Teddy Thompsons album Separate Ways and every track was blank!?! Now when I try to download the album the d/ls will not connect. I also had this problem with a U2 album and eventually had to download the whole album as one file.

I normally have no problems.

Any ideas.

There's a pretty good chance that they are dud files placed on the network to try and dissuade people from downloading. Could be that the file became corrupt and won't play. It could also be your media player, try playing it using a different one.

It's weird each file is a different size, downloaded at different times and each track has nothing on it through Cool Edit or WMP. Now I can't download any TT tracks. Everything else downloads fine?

I think they're all duds. Did you notice most of them didn't have a bitrate listed. You need at least a rate of 128 for cd quality sound.

But that is wierd, I've never had so many files come up without any biterate:confused:.

Oh OK. I was starting to get paranoid and thinking that there was something evil on my PC stopping me d/ling TT songs! Unlikely I know but...

What I don't understand is why this has only affected two artists I have downloaded. I have downloaded a few albums recently w/o problem it's just U2 and TT that have given me problems.

So is it not worth trying to d/l any file w/o a bitrate?
