Firewall - Direct Connection Problems!

Having problems with a firewall that Lime Wire some how detects. I have dissabled my anti-virus program, thought this might have effect....but nothing. I am sharing thousands of files but no one can direct connect and browse my files!!!
How do I turn off my firewall? Why can't people Direct Connect to me?
