Please help me!!!! |
That sucks, I know, I've done it before too. As far as I know there's no way to get them back. Limewire doesn't send to the recycle bin, they delete the files from the computer. My husband is a computer tech, and he doesn't even think there's any way to retreive them. Sorry. |
ok thanx for answer.... A big mistake by limewire tech.... Anyone can make that mistake, and suddenly is 500-1000 songs deleted!! Wow, I'm so angry....... its a real pitty... |
See DELETING FILES FROM LIMEWIRE LIBRARY-DON"T! - File recovery advice! (click on link) This is a Sticky in the Open Discussion section of the forum. It should also probably be added to this section. ;) BTW have you seen the Stickies in this section by any chance? The stickies in all the sections have answers to over 80% of the questions asked on the forum. ;) |
ok thanx... I'm new here.. so forgive me!!! |
yeah i know, it does suck. Sorry for your loss. :( Hopefully there is something new since I deleted mine. I hope so. Good luck. :) |
The free file recovery utilities suggested can work. But they're not as good as the Norton Utilites file recovery program. If you lose files, you must stop any process that might write more information to that HDD or partition. If no more saving files & other writing to the disk has occured then that will maximise your chances of total success in file recovery. Many people make the mistake of saving more files to that particular partition & thus chances are that such action may have overwritten the skeletons (mappings) of the deleted files. A fragmented drive may also contribute to this, if this extra file writing to drive happens. |
