ISO file transfer

Both my friend and I live out of state from one another. We also have camcorders that burn to dvd. We were hoping to share ISO files with one another because its easiest for us to burn to disk for later use and the easiest to transer(one file). He has posted ISO files that I can download, but I cannot. I have gone under tool and options and looked under sharing to enable the correct file extentions, but to no avail. What is he doing that I have not? We both have upgraded to pro thinking that was the problem. It fixed it so i can get iso files from him but i cannot give them to him. Any advice? thanks

I even put the mds file and the iso file in rar format to try and send thinking maybe it was a size issue. This did not fix my problem. Help me obi wan your my only hope.

For what you want to do, you should be using FTP software, not P2P software.

You will probably never see you mates computer over limewire.

thanks for the reply Ferral. I have just one question about the ftp software. What address would I type in to connect to his compter? I know this is a little out of bounds for this site I was just wondering where I would locate his address. Would I use the same address that limewire gives me? all help is appreciated. thanks

One of you need to be running FTP server software, the other an FTP client. There are a few freebies about of both. Go for one with good setup instructions!

The simplified version of how it works - (as long as you have got the software setup ok)

The person with the client software will need to type in the IP adress of the one running the Server software. They can then down load or upload from the server.
