I'm not quite sure what you are saying (and my not being familiar with Sony Walkman software doesn't help)

I am wondering if the files are being saved with a different designated default player, in which case you need to right click on any of your files (that you want to play in "media player") > open with > select "media player" > then select smething like "use this application to open all files like this".

I hope I have understood the question and this helps:)

hi,

yes that does work but problem is I have to do it for every song which takes ages.

just wondering if there is a quicker way?

so far that is the only way i have found of doing it

I did say "select something like "use this application to open all files like this".

In Mac you need to select "get info" > Open with > "Use this application to open all documents like this" > push button "change all" ..and all files default player will change. I'm not sure how exactly you do this in Windows but it will be something very similar.

Let us know if this makes sense:)

see this thread .. and the image in Lord Of The Rings' first post .. this changes if you wait long enough to show the process and shows what you need to do .. It is for video, but you can just change the file and the media player to what ever suits you ..
