no uploads

I have been using limewire for a while and never had a problem, or at least anything worth troubling over. But since I installed the latest edition, I have had very few uploads from me. I havent changed any system settings on my computer, and I am seeing searches in the monitor window. I used to have to set my upload limits very low because there was so much traffic. I checked my library and there are no searches for or comleated uploads on any files- I want to share but something is stopping me. I am running win 98se over cable and have the latest edition of limewire

Chances are your set up is fine. Is there a brick wall in front of the earth meaning it might be a firewall problem?

Are you getting hits for your files? Check your library page. Hits show the number of times your files show up in someone elses search results.

Judging from your other thread you have a lot of files in queue. If all your bandwidth is used up with downloads you might not have enough left for someone to upload from you.

It could be that no one is looking for your files or there are enough out there that none are being uploaded from your pc.

handyman, in your LW library go tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to "recieved incoming this session"... is it true or false? If it's false then there's a firewall issue somewhere & people can't push through to upload from you. If it's true then your problem lies somewhere else!

Hi 6_pac...sorry to butt in:(

Hi birdy,

By all means, feel free. More help is always welcome:).

I am getting the wall- can't figure why though- nothing has changed on my system to create the firewall issue.
