Lost Download Files while downloading

I'm using LimeWire Pro 4.10.5 . I have encountered a problem whereby all my downloads were lost while in the process of downloading. I do not know where to find those incomplete downloads and resume downloading where they were left off. I have tried the Library tab and click the incomplete file on the left side and yet nothing appears on the right table, only blank page. Can anyone help me to recover the lost downloads and resume downloading?

Did this actually happen whilst LW was open & you were downlding? If yes, when did you notice & what happened exactly?

It sounds more likely to me like you've opened LW & you found your LW options had changed. Is there a chance someone may have tampered with your LW settings or deleted your LW preferences whilst you were away from the computer?

The way to find them would be to use your computer search engine; Start menu >Search files & folders & type in Shared or whatever your downld folder was called. Then after locating it, make a note of the directory location. Then open LW, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Saving & change the location to the exact location you had before or that you found the Shared folder in.

Normally when I start my PC and open LW, all the downloaded files will resume the downloading process. But the problem now is that I received an error message..Sorry, but LimeWire was unable to restart your old downloads...and when I open LW the download sections was empty. I tried to open the Library tab and nothing was shown even though I click the incomplete files on the left. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Which version of LW & which version of Java are you using? You can find out by going to the LW help menu & choosing About LW & it will show the versions.

To LORD OF THE RING,
I'm using LW 4.10.5 Pro and the Java version is 1.5.0_05

So ... what have you done so far? Did you try any of the options I've suggested so far?

Already done as proposed by you...why the error message?

Please press Reply button & not New Thread button when replying to a thread. ;)

The error message is due to the LW download preferences becoming lost or corrupt. This usually happens as described in the link I have above. Such as LW not being fully closed when your computer is shut down or the computer crashes whilst LW is open. Windows is particularly sensitive about this. Try to ensure LW is closed & fully closed before shutting down computer. Even use Task Manager if necessary to check it's disappeared from the list.

The error message is to say something is wrong with the download preferences in that it no longer recognises the incomplete files. But you can still use them again, but just from zero%.

Ok point well taken regarding not closing windows properly and the computer crashes while LW is still open. However when I tried the Library window and select the incomplete folder, nothing came out??? How do I uninstall the current version of LW 4.10.5 Pro and install a later version of 4.10.9? I tried earlier to upgrade but I have to pay...I am a registered user of LW Pro and have made the payment before..do they still charge for upgrading?

You get 6 months of updates after purchase. So if 6 mths has passed since you bought it then it's too late but otherwise yes. Many people bookmark their personal pro downld page. Next perhaps you should.;) Check your original email from customer support or else http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...pro_lookup.jsp

No need to uninstall LW. The installer will uninstall it at the very beginning of the installation process.

When you go to the LW Library window, select the incomplete folder, then select all the files whilst holding down the SHIFT key so they're all selected, then press the Resume button. That will force them back into the download window.
