I've Tried Everything!!
 

Okay, I've spent two days trying to download and nothing works! I tried all the suggestions, like deleting my limewire preferences file, and changing the configurations on my firewall and I still can't open my downloads. I guess I have two major problems. First, my download speed is incredibly slow, despite the changes you've suggested. Second, if and when I am able to download a file, when I unzip it and try to click on the setup icon, I get a error message saying that the file, path or device can't be accessed even though I'm on the administrator setting. Somebody please help!!

Many will tell you to avoid zip files altogether. Unless you are very sure of what you are doing and have the very latest anti virus protection, I would not go near them. Zip files on Gnutella are renowned for being riddled with viruses, and in other ways, of no use. I would suggest getting the feel of Limewire with a few audio files. You don't have you want them and you can always delete them. Search the forums for information and read the stickies at the top of each forum for answers to the commonest problems.
