Not Connecting

I have LimeWire Pro, I've had it for quite a while. I can download everything fine, but now I cannot download any Videos anymore. It keeps saying Connecting then Need Sources and never downloads. I can download other things ok but not Videos.

Old sources that are no longer available act somewhat like that. Clean out the incomplete folder (backup first if you want to try the old incompletes again).

or, try a video from www.magnetmix.com
Those ones are pretty reliable, so if they won't download, then you know the problem is in your setup somewhere.

It says this error on everyone I click on that website;
Fatal error: Call to undefined method PageBuilder::sponsored() in /spare/local/apache2/htdocs/magnetmix_production/magnet.php on line 127

oops--looks like the site admin is making changes. . . the link is now going to the beta version of the site.

Sorry about that: it's usually pretty reliable. I'll try to get a message to him.

In the meantime, try searching for "the scene xvid episode .avi" in LW. (Don't worry--the file is authorized for p2p sharing).

See how many hits you get using an "Any Type" search

bah--that doesn't get much either.

Try video "what's new" search, and start downloading one of the top hits (should show 11 hosts in the search results).

What happens?

The downloaded started and worked fine. Is the problem with the host of the video I am trying to download because I mostly tried to download all of the results that came up from my search and only 1 downloaded and their were about... 20 results.

Good to hear that the video problem is not your setup.

It's the host, who is probably very busy and not always online.

Hope you get the file. Repeating the search every few hours can help look for new sources, but it sounds like your file is not shared by many others.

Updating your Pro might help too, if it is an older version.

Cheers
