Not Verifying Downloads...WHY?

I hace searches other threads but everyone I've read syas that there download exceeds 100% and then restarts or something, well my movie downloads, mainly AVI,will reach 100% and then stop, never going to the verify download,I can preview the file and it will play to the very end of the move but it never goes over to my library...it just stays there at 100% and all I can do is preview, cancel or pause. It will say I'm downloading from 1 source but at 0kb/sec.I tried pausing and resuming it but then it just stays on queued,I waited for 3 hours one night and nothing. Please any help..

Try re-searching the file with LW. Also, if it doesn't move after that, delete it from the downld window & re-select to downld from the search results. You'll know if it's the same one because it will have the presently downlding icon next to it. See image below to see what I mean. This problem sometimes happens with very large files. Answer is generally find more sources using the search.

thanks, will try. Yea these files were all 690mb or larger.

Thank you very much for the advice, I will certainly give it a try, although some files were a lot smaller than 690MB, more like 110MB, and during their downloads I usually had a constant 7 or 8 hosts for the download. Definitely something to consider tweaking for future versions, but most importantly, my sincerest thanks for the reply, I had the page bookmarked and have been checking back all day.

Many Thanks, Beni Oblivion

If it's a video file, then you can perhaps just cancel the download & remove it from your incomplete folder. ie: use the explore button after finding it in the incomplete folder to open the folder for you. Arrange folder by size or date modified to find the file at the top. However you may need to remove the T-### number before it.

Same here....

I have a completed DVD download that will play on my video player but it is stuck in the incomplete folder.

How can I go about getting it out of the incomplete folder?

Click cancel from LW's download window so it's removed. Then go to LW's Library window, select the incomplete folder at the bottom & press the Explore button. That will open the folder for you on your desktop. Now arrange the folder by size or date modified & it should be near or at the top of the list. (view in list mode.) Now you can remove it. It will have a prefix T-#### before it. You can remove that from its filename. Then use it as you desire such as for moving elsewhere or burning, etc.
