downloads don't resume

hi,

i have this problem: when I start limewire, my previous uncompleted downloads don't restart..I try to resume them from my library but they restart from 0%...so I don't know what to do....

please help me. Thanks

uncompleted downloads

first question is - why uncompleted files?
are you switching off limewire at night or something?
if so do you stop or cancel download? if so DONT
just pause them - then disconnect limewire and shut down
when you restart they should all start automatically from where they left off

if you see "need more sources" -dont give up - just pause it for a while and try later - the computer(s) you are trying to get the file from are probably off for some reason

its also good practice to empty your "incomplete" folder when you aren't downloading anything and have nothing waiting

That problem will occur if you don't close LW down properly before shutting down the computer, else LW has crashed. See Downlds refuse to reload (click on link)

There's little you can do. Yes they'll all start from 0%. If this happens frequently, then back up the files called downloads.dat & downloads.bak found in the incomplete folder. Back them up as often as you believe you need to. Then if your system does crash, before opening LW, put the backed up files back into the incomplete folder to replace the corrupted ones. ;) (you can only replace the files whilst LW is CLOSED!)
