Sloooowww dl speeds

First off, I'm on ATT Broadband cable modem. Limewire (Gnutella) has never given me a decent download speed. I am comparing this to Napster on Roadrunner account (when Napster was around). ATT download speeds are pretty much equal to Roadrunner cable speeds on all "normal" downloads. Is this just a restriction on the Gnutella network?

I realize that my upload bandwidth is restricted on ATT (where as it was not restricted on Roadrunner). I don't really like this but can live with it.

Do I have any options to increase my dl speed on Limewire (Gnutella)?

Just make sure that you are downloading from other fast clients, like DSL or T3 connections. LimeWire creates more traffic than Napster did, but this will change in version 1.9. Look for its release soon!

Limewire is slow...becuse most users ...set the upload speed to almost 0 ...i like limewire ...but morpheus is a better client ...you can send instant message to user ...and you can't slow down upload speed ...

.

i wish limewire would remove that function....
