I just wanted to bring something up that some of you must have noticed in the programs search results…

There are these programs of the size 851.7 KB that manage to fit the name of whatever program you are searching (plus the version number of the real program! ). The amazing thing is that people whom have it indeed have it in different names depending on their keyword they used when they searched and downloaded the file.

Thankfully my Antivirus application detects it immediately as virus .

Finally what I noticed that there are other files with different file sizes however the most common on is the "851.7 KB" one .

If anyone has any idea what exactly these files are and how did they become so epidemic and whether there is a way eliminate this problem or exclude it from search results??!

LimeWire has a junk filter in it. Right click on the offending file and mark it as junk. You have to teach the filter what is junk so be patient. More info in this link, with links to where the virii/junk files are comming from: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...304#post181304
