Default I'm new, PLEASE HELP!

Hi folks, I'm totally new to the idea of downloading films etc.
Have had a play trying to download a film, but how the hell do you download a full zip file?????????? I can't see any way of downloading more than the icon, when it is opened up, nothing is there.
Please respond, I'm tearing my hair out.
Thanks
Mike

You should be really careful when downloading zips, many of them contain viruses
WARNING: Viruses on the network you should be aware of

Try downloading a movie that's not zipped (a movie will be roughly 600-700MB) & see if you have better luck. You can check a file before download with Bitzi, if the file's been rated you'll get an idea of quality & content

Default Thanks

Thanks birdy, I downloaded a 700MB file overnight last night, now it says about 8 hours to burn to CD. Does this sound right to you? Or are the settings all wrong? Download speed is around 3 - 5 kb, but I'm on a 1meg broadband connection. Sorry, I'm stumped................

Thanks Kimmy, I've learned that now. Getting rid of a couple of trojan horses from the pc now, I wish I'd never started this game.
Thanks again
Mike

You can get norbie to help you solve the trojan problem. Go to his site NorbiesWorld (click on link) so he can ensure the trojans are fully eradicated.
