Default Wrong Files Shared

I accidentally shared .pdf files with financial account numbers, etc. I later saw that they were uploaded approx. 70 times. I've since changed my download/sharing folders, I now see no history of uploads in LimeWire. The files are now dispersed and forever accessible to those who uploaded, right? Nothing more I can do?

Right!
Unless you've written down their IP, go and contact them asking them to delete the files and not to distribute them any further (and they actually follow your wish). Sorry pal

Thanks FOTH, I don't have their IPs, have no idea who has the files. Wish there was some history cache somewhere that I could find regarding sharing--who, what, when. I'm using MAC 10.4.6

Being one of the 95%er (i.e. using XP) I have not much idea about MAC. But so far I've never come across any cache in LW telling you the upload (nor download) history. Sorry pal, you've got to live with that and hopefully no superior of yours comes across this unfortunate mistake

This won't help get your files back but, if in LW you go to Tools>Options>Uploads>Basic> and untick the box "Automatically Clear Completed Uploads" LW will show all the uploads on the Monitor page until you delete them manually or shut down LW. Once someone uploads something from you there isn't anyway of getting it back.
