limewire tics

Every limewire audio download has several 'tics' which makes the audiofiles worthless to listen to. This means the file stops for about a second and then continues. What is the cause of this en what can I do about it.
I've tried to reinstall limewire but that makes no difference.

Which player are you using to listen to the songs? I'd suggest you try another player to check the problem is LW's media player & not the song files. Unfortunatly LW's media player can have problems if you're very busy downlding. So instead, many people disable it so when they want to launch music, their default audio player opens instead. To do this, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Player & uncheck option. You may need to close & re-open LW before this takes effect.

Limewire tics

Solutions can be easy to find (for the expert). Thanx. I did what you suggested and used itunes to play the audiofiles. I did a check with Francoise Hardy and Rammstein; 'die Fransosen mit die Deutcher'; So it appears to be the Limewire player which causes the problem. It works now, Thanx a lot.

Thank you!! I was very frustrated. I followed you instructions and the tics went away! I am now using Windows Media Player 10.
