In Desperate Need Of Help

Right, please dont ignore this..

When downloading songs I dont get speed any higher than 12KB/s no matter how many hosts, where as on kazaa lite I would get speeds of up to 120Kb/s as I have a 1MB connection

I have a firewall, McAfee Personal Firewall Plus, BUT no brick in displayed infront of the globe.

What can I do  I'm good with techno stuff on computers but this is really buggin me so any help is much appreciated.

Thanx, Danm90

Downld a magnet link from here & tell us what happens & what speeds you get: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

Do a speed test from a site near you from here http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/speedtest/
Post your results. Don't forget if they quote in kbps (kilobits) then divide that by 8 to give you KB/s (KiloBytes)

Result

Time to download: 43.156 seconds
File size: 5040KB
Throughput: 953 kilobits per second = 119Kb/s
Throughput: 116.8 kilobytes per second

from the bulldogbroadband speed test

well i downloaded a video magnet link, climbed to 15kb/s before returning bak to around 2 or 3.

Really annoyed now

Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Because that sounds suspicious if you can't even good a good speed with a magnet link. That magnet link should allow you up to or over 200 KB/s if you have that type of speed.

Thanks for all the help guys but doesn't look like this is guna get sorted.

Out of the 2 programs I use Limewire n iMesh, I seem to be getting the best results with iMesh so it looks like I'm guna say goodbye to limewire soon.

Yeah I'm in the UK but I'm saying that I get the best results from iMesh.
