Limwire Extremely Slow

Hi. I've had limewire for roughly a year. i Have 2mb Tiscali broadband and I usually get around 100kb/s downloads. However, recently my downloads have dramatically dropped to 1-3kb/s. I did a speed test and the results came back:
400kilobits/sec for both upload and download in 42 milliseconds. (I have no clue what that means)

i would be grateful if someone could help me with my problem as it also seems to be the case with other file sharing programs such as BitComet.
Furthermore, there is no problem with downloading off normal sites such as Windows.

Finally my upload and download bandwith is set to 100% and i have set my connection to Cable/DSL (im not sure if thats correct) and there is no brick infront of the globe.

Thanks for any replies :)

Tiscali is well known for shaping bandwidth against p2p users. They don't apply it to everybody until they notice their bandwidth use being excessive. Use the search button above to search the word tiscali & you will find some links including tiscali's user information page about shaping users who use p2p.

You might want to take a look here:

Tiscali is known to block p2p programs, or at least to shape the bandwidth of p2p programs users;)

Edit:
Okay, I go to bed now,......two times beaten in one night.....:o :) :D :) :o

Well, I don't blame you,....I blame the timezone......if I would live a bit closer to India, you would most likely be already in "Dreamland" when I come online......
On the other hand, those people who get instant-express replies even from more than one member will leave this forum pretty impressed, I guess....:D ;)
