hey so what happened was i left it running over night... i had just installed this a couple of days ago.. so today i wake up, there's some itunes error so i discard everything cos i didnt know what to do and then restarted my pc because everything was starting to lag up.. then i restart limewire it says cannot resume downloads and all the files are gone from the downloads/transfer panel.. someone had the same problem but i don t think their files went missing from the panel.. i tried re-setting the download folder and stuff but it didnt work.. what else can i do?

please help, thanks,

If your computer crashes or shuts down before LW is properly closed, your downloads won't resume. You can resume them by going into Library > Incomplete Files > highlight a file & click Resume but they'll start from 0%.
Downloads refuse to reload

thanks! hope itll continue ok... however, is there anyway i can prevent this from happening again?

Try to make sure that your LW is properly closed before you shut down or restart the computer. You can check within task manager to see if LW's still running.
AFAIK, if you backup the download.dat & .bak files, you can copy them back into the incomplete folder & this will allow the incomplete file to resume from the point of backup... hope that hasn't confused things:o

If you mean the iTunes error thingy... sorry but I don't know. If your PC starts to really slow down, you could try reducing the number of files you're downloading at once. Also disabling ultrapeer capabilities (tools > options > speed) might help a little. Reducing your upload & download bandwidth a bit could also help. Have you seen this thread about optimising LW? It's got some good hints
Configuring LW for best performance
If you mean having your downloads start again from 0%, see my post #4
