Napster keeps popping up!
 

Everytime I try downloading something, napster pops up, like the website does. it it will show like different artists.
CAN ANYONE HELP!

This should be fixed in the newest version. Haven't tried it myself though.

yea, me too. since napster is losing business to limewire, they hire 14 year olds to go in and find all of these songs and relist them under several different variations of file names, but they will hotlink to your internet browser and open napster. this is also proof of just how easily your computer can be accessed from someone else using limewire.

WHILE WE WAIT 4 THE NEW VERSION TRY THE DOWNLOADING THE NEWEST BETA OR THIS:

go down to the bottom of the page of search results in lw, and try downloading the files that don't have a rediciously high number of users (less than 50). normally the napster ones will be like the first 20 on the top of the page and have more than 100 users with that file.

Actually LW 4.12.3 was released several days ago. Get it here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml or your personal pro downld page. Those results will still show, but will not open up napster sites, etc. So yes, try those results further down the list.

I tried to download as I use to do and now the site switches to a napster site everytime I click the download button:confused: . What's going on? I have 4.08 version of Limewire.

I have the new version of limewire and it still jumps to the NAPSTER sight
no mater which one I select to download.It's annoying not yo mention I acn't dowload a dam thing until its fixed.

i am having the same problem with napster popping up and no ability to download. i use limewire 4.9 and haven't updated because of the problems others have experienced with the newer limewire downloads. will limewire be able to prevent napster from taking over their site ?

The files you downld do not come from a site. They come from other users like yourself. But yes there are organisations out there such as Overpeers who spam the network with fake files. Well the problem should be fixed with LW 4.12.3 & has fixed the problem for almost everybody except a couple who have posted in this thread. I wonder if they are 'really' using LW 4.12.3
Perhaps deleting the LW prefs folder might help; Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

If you don't update then you will always have the napster problem.

i was just about to panic thinking something was wrong... but this is the CLEAR answer...
especially when trying to download newer releases...

I have solved the problem by updating to PRO Limwire for $20.00.So far I have not had any problems since downloading itn

u know, with the free limewire, u can just search for limewire PRO and get it for free just like any other program...
