The firewall will be either due to your software firewall or, your modem/router which may have an internal NAT firewall. For tips & instructions see Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

I presume you're using windows XP, so make sure you configured your firewall also.

Beware of search results that have perhaps 100 for one, 99 for the next, etc. (those are fakes.) Instead choose those with 10 or 20 sources from under the # in the search results.

I presume you only have one firewall right?

Well if it was working fine before but not now, then perhaps deleting your LW prefs will do the trick. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

BTW as an experiment try downloading a magnet link from here & tell us what happens in regards to connection status & speeds: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

yea they downloaded fine!!

If they downlded fine with no problems connecting or speed, then the problem is somewhere in your set up or else, poor sources or poor ultrapeers you are connected to. Sometimes disconnecting & reconnecting can give you fresh ultrapeers & a better session.

Did you try deleting your LW preferences yet? It might be worth the try.

When you said you set UPnP, which modem or router brand & model is it you set it with?
