I attempted to uninstall Limewire in order to start over since I was having so much difficulty downloading music. Although Limewire was uninstalled, when I attempt to reinstall a new version my computer indicates an older version of Limewire is still running. I found it in explorer but when I attempt to open it - I am advised an error has occurred, "do I want to send microsoft a msg?" As soon as I attempt to do so, my computer freezes up and I must shut down.
I can not uninstall what appears to remain in my computer. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated since I really do miss LImewire.

You can have problems if try to uninstall LW using Add/Remove Programs. The way to uninstall is Start > All Programs > click on LW & choose the uninstall option.
Normally, installing a new version will automatically uninstall the old as well. Go into Task Manager & see if LW is running, if it is then end the process. Now see if the new version will install properly. If not, you might have to use the computer's search & delete all the LW files individually... then install the new version
