also just went through all the checking firewall procedure and i dont have one running..??? |
It sounds like the license warning requirement. See this for a solution: license problem. Post back if it doesn't help;). |
mine is doing the same.. i downloaded a song took a shower and when i got back it wouldnt let me download anything.. i tried restarting.. ive tried everything.. im either going to delete this program and download it again.. im so fed up with limewire right now. |
What do you mean by it would'nt let you d/l. It would'nt go to the d/l window or it sat there needing more sources? Did you check out the link in my first post? |
I'm having problems with downloading too except with mine, when I click to download, another window shoots up >> http://www.artistdirect.com and I cant download a flaming thing in the usual way. It's driving me round the twist and my list of songs is growing. HELPPPPPPPPPP |
I'm having the same problem. How on earth is it possible that when you doubleclick the song you are immediately thrown to the site artistdirect.com. It's very anoying but how to solve the problem? jane75 |
The probem has been fixed with the newest version of LW. You can download it here: http://www.limewire.com/ If you want to have more information about this problem, use the search function of the forum here and you will find a lot of posts concerning it. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Smilywais.gif |
Thanks. I'll give the new one a go. That web site is such a pain. |
Results - i've installed the latest version and can now download without that website shooting up each time so thanks for your help. |
Yes, me again! I've downloaded a song and it came up saying "need more sourses." but then I noticed further down the search list were a few ticks as if it had been found and downloaded. When I searched my library, there was the song. I'm now using the latest 4.12.3 version which i've only installed about an hour or so ago and this hasn't happened before while using the old 4.9.3 version from what I can remember anyway. |
Even though the new version stops the browser from opening, it doesn't stop those search results appearing ... they're fake files & you'll never download them. You'll notice they appear in large numbers such as 100 or one & 99 for the next, etc. So instead, choose those with 10 or 20 sources under the # column of the search results. Also see Sponsored Results (click on link) Try adding artistdirect in the keyword filter. I don't know if that will work but it's worth a try. ;) |
Keyword filter? Where's/ what's that? |
Tools > options > filters > keyword. ;) |

I had this same probleme a couple of days ago, i've just restarted my pc and then it worked. But since yesterday i've tried everything but nothing work?!Help Me Plz! (sorry if some sounds a little bit weird, I'm from quebec so I actually speak french) |
Go back to the start of this thread & check out 6_pac's license problem link (post #4). If that doesn't fix things, try deleting your preferences folder when LW is closed. See points 2 & 3 in the link below Fixes for LimeWire Deleting this folder will kill all of your settings within Options. You'll have to go back & reset things afterwards:) |
