my "limewire tunes" wont show up on itunes
 

hey yall-i just downloaded the newest itunes and now my "limewire tune" do not show up in itunes and it wont let me transfer any songs to my ipod even songs i have had on my ipod trying to rearange a playlist. i tried importing lime wire and it wont let me. I dragged over some song to itunes and it will let me play them but wont let me put them in my ipod. any ideas what is up? thanks

Make sure you've still got iTunes sharing enabled within LW (tools > options > iTunes > sharing). You might have to delete your preferences folder, points 2 & 3 here

Doing this will kill your settings within Options, you'll have to go back through & reset things afterwards.

I don't know why the update would change anything, mine's still ok after updating a couple of days ago:confused: If dragging & dropping's not working, see if
file > add file to library works! This sticky has a lot of info & links in case you need them

You might also need to check that sharing is enabled in iTunes. ie: go to iTunes preferences found under the Edit menu, then find Sharing tab. If you make any changes, I think you need to relaunch both LW & iTunes before the changes work for playlist sharing.

everything seems to be working now but i think the main problem is my 3rd gen 40 gig ipod-it is now time to upgrade!-if you know anyone with a newer on for sale i am interested. thanks again
