Default Limewire sucks

I know it's a nightmare isn't it? I've uninstalled it but there are still Limewire applications and files showing up whenever I do a search, and I'm not allowed to delete them.

It's not good to hear that their e-mail address is a fake. It's pretty crap that they don't have any support numbers or addresses for you to contact to get help.

Has anyone out there managed to solve this problem?

LW isn't the problem here (for both of you). Maybe it's your carefree use of a P2P program and possibly your attitude to look for a problem at the wrong places.
You both have a virus on your machines !!!

You would have found out about it already, if you had bothered to use the search function of this forum, instead of just posting your "knowledge" here.

If you've read through the above link, go here to get some free computerhelp (since I do not believe you'll be able to fix this problem by yourself):
http://norbiesworld.co.uk/computerhelp

And for you who has uninstalled LW with the Contol Panel>Remove Program option, you might have to redownload LW from the official site and install it, so that it can remove the rest of the program (if you're lucky). And when you then still want to get rid of LW, then use the uninstall .exe via START>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall

I had already read through the postings on the forum but there was nothing in there that could help me.

And I don't have a virus on my machine.

I've nothing to add to my post above. LW starting up by itself is clearly a virus.
The way you've deleted LW was wrong; you should have used the uninstaller exe in the LW folder accessable via Start>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall.
Besides, are you sure that you got LW (the free or the Pro version???) directly form the official site of LW 9see link above)?
