HELP! Bought Pro and it all went wrong...

I purchased pro today and decided to give it a spin. I had just ran the free version and searched on a topic, and downloaded 12 4 meg files in no time flat (I was impressed as I had never tested limewire with my new 12meg connection). Then I decided to purchase pro to see if the hype was true, so I ran that, searched, and got a ton of results (faster and much more then standard version), BUT... I clicked on about 6 or 7 files just to see how long it would take, and it took a long time saying "connecting," then after a while it said "need more sources." I figured this was odd as the connection # was in the 100s, but I figured I'd give it another chance, so I grabbed the same 4 meg files from this morning, but those also said "connecting" and then "needs more sources." After about 15 minutes of this, I came to the conclusion that something has seriously gone wrong with my upgrade to pro - EVERYTHING says "connecting" and then "need more sources." I have tried resetting the pc, etc, but I am not getting anywhere! According to the app, I have a "Turbo Charged Connection," but it seems to only allow me to search. I tried opening a port and setting the port to that, and I also tried the default pnp, but I think if that was the case, I would get a firewall warning...

HELP?:(

EDIT: COMCAST 12 MEG PACKAGE, P-D 2.4, LINKSYS WG ROUTER, WINDOWS FIREWALL OFF, NORTON FIREWALL OFF.

Give this a shot, try downloading from a smaller number of hosts under 20, at the moment there are so many fake files around....:)
If you still have trouble let us know...

No luck... I tried 10 songs ranging from 2 hosts to 22 hosts, and they sit on "connecting" and then eventually go to "need more sources." I was using Limewire this morning (and have on and off for the last couple years), so I know this is not a normal behaviour for this product. I would be willing to bet if I revert to the free version I was using this morning, it would work.

UPDATE: Basic version isn't working either. I am going to try to find an older version because now this is looking like a 4.12.4 issue

I have to go now, but there will be a fix for this...If another member doesn't come to the rescue I will get back to you asap....;)

I think I fixed this. I completely uninstalled everything, then found the "full" installation download of the basic version, installed it, then tested it (worked), then downloaded pro and installed over that and it appears to work now. Perhaps the upgrade from 4.10.0 using the updater is not a good idea...

Looks like I was blocked because the router had ident and a few other settings blocked by default (even though the port was open)
