Virus Found
 

Everytime I try to download the update it give's me a virus a trojan virus is there some way around this virus download and yes I've tryed to download it like 3 times so please help :confused:

McAfee and I got it from the offical site

That's weird. I have mcafee and it didn't say LimeWire has viruses. My mcafee firewall just asks if I allow limewire. What mcafee do you have.

It's pretty new I dont know wich version if that what you mean thanks for trying to help me:)

If you don't have the recent updates try to update it. Mine updates every one or two days.

Other newbies in the past thought they downloaded LW from the official site only to find out, when they revealed the URL they used or start to write about their non-existent "Lifetime membership", that they went to a scam site after all and have been using freebie LimeWire Basic which they paid for.

So, when asked what site you downloaded LW from answer with the URL, not “the official site”.

good point scam sites do add malware to their downloads sometimes. And they give you so called virus protection. :rolleyes:
